Nice, tight aromas of dark fruit, herbs and graphite. The palate starts with peppery red fruit; it has good drive and lengthens well, with freshness present. The finish is complete and very southern Rhône, and controls the force of the vintage well.

Aromatic herbs and medicinal notes with black, spicy fruits and liquorice hints. The ripe palate is centred on mature Grenache, with a fat plum core to it. Nice rich flavours, meaty and complex. Generous and powerful. Needs food; definitely a winter warmer.

Yalumba has spent the past 30 years mastering Viognier and this Eden Valley beauty is the quintessence of what the grape variety can put forth. Delicate stone fruit aromas with hints of floral make for an elegant nose. These flavours follow through on the palate, which has lovely texture and is quite complex.
